In February 2024 the Bank of Mongolia purchased 1,281 kg of precious metals, bringing its purchases since the start of the year to 2.3 tonnes.
Since the start of the year the Bank’s Bayankhongor branch has purchased 75.8 kg of precious metals.
The Bank of Mongolia sets its purchase price for precious metals from world market prices. The average gold purchase price in February 2024 was 220,507.4 tugrik.
